Speaker Requirements

Thank you for your interest in being a speaker to members and guests of SHE Leads Group.

Professional & Business Development Speaker/Trainer Requirements:

  1. Topic must be a professional or business development topic or one in which SHE Leads Group membership has requested. Topic must provide value for our attendees - one in which will help them to be successful in their business with solid tips one can implement on their own.

  2. Member guest speaker/trainer cannot be in conflict with another member's business category in the chapter they are presenting to, unless approved by the member in the chapter.

  3. Business represented by speaker/trainer must not have a negative online presence with reviews or complaints with the BBB.

  4. Business represented by speaker/trainer must be a registered business with the Secretary of State.

  5. Guest speaker/trainer will abide by and respect the time limits allowed for their presentation.

  6. When requested, the speaker/trainer will provide outline, bio and promotional blurb for their topic for approval.

  7. Speakers and trainers are expected to provide educational content that is engaging and not overly self-promotional. Each speaker should provide a brief bio, not exceeding 30 seconds, to the Chapter President for introduction. For 20-minute chapter meeting presentations or as a symposium speaker, no more than one slide and one minute may be devoted to their background, journey, or experience; for 50-minute presentations, up to two slides and two minutes are permitted. A final slide with a QR code or link for follow-up, resources, or promotions is acceptable, but this portion should be limited to no more than one minute. The overall focus of all presentations should remain on delivering value to attendees rather than promoting the speaker’s business.

 Speaker/Trainer Promotion:

A speaker/trainer's most powerful promotion is showcasing their expertise in front of SHE Leads Group members and attendees who are well-established and networked businesswomen.

  1. Speakers/trainers are encouraged to arrive early and stay after the meeting to network with attendees.

  2. Speakers/trainers may bring handouts, promotional flyers, and business cards with their contact information.

  3. If a slide deck or handouts are provided in electronic format, SHE Leads Group may, upon request, include them in a meeting reminder or recap email distributed before or after the presentation by a SHE Leads Group representative.

  4. Speakers/trainers should provide the Chapter President or SHE Leads Group Founder with a 30-second bio/intro to be read at the meeting. The bio must be submitted no less than two business days before the scheduled presentation, and it is the speaker’s responsibility to confirm the engagement.

  5. Pre-promotion may include verbal announcements at chapter meetings and mentions in chapter meeting notes.

  6. For All-Chapter/All-Guest or other special events:

    • Email marketing will highlight the speaker/trainer, provided a promotional blurb or content outline, logo, and photo are submitted by the deadline.

    • Social media marketing will be used to promote the speaker/trainer and their topic.

    • The event will be added to all current SHE Leads Group web pages.

    • Speakers/trainers will receive four complimentary event tickets, valued at $50 each ($200 total).

What does SHE stand for?

SHE is more than a leads group - SHE Leads Group exists to support women in business development roles. SHE Members are women in business who appreciate the role many women have being a full-time caregiver to loved ones and advancing their full-time career or business. The letters “S H E” stand for Supporting Heart & Enterprise ®. Heart is our families, or anything near and dear and personal to us. Enterprise is our business or career. Members are expected to uphold the values and culture for which SHE stands. Every member of SHE Leads Group should desire to be a resource to each other. SHE Leads Group is more than just a leads group. We are a group of supportive women who truly want to help others in any way possible.
