Volunteer Advisory Board & Chair Positions

Over the years, the SHE Leads Purse Project has continued to grow in both size and impact. Following our 2025 purse season, it became clear that establishing a voluntary advisory board was an important next step to ensure the project’s continued success and sustainability. Our board members were thoughtfully selected based on their tenure as SHE Leads Group members and their areas of expertise essential to supporting and guiding the Purse Project into the future.

Committee Chair Seats Needed (Application below)

Silent Auction & Buy-It-Now Purse Fundraising Committee

  • Oversees all purse donations designated for fundraising.
  • Inspects and sorts purses into Silent Auction, Buy-It-Now, or Garage Sale categories.
  • Researches MSRP, photographs items, and prepares bid sheets.
  • Assists with table setup and coordinates volunteers during both main events.

Sponsorship Committee

  • Manages sponsor communication and logistics.
  • Collects and assembles goody bags for the Kick-Off and Celebration & Gratitude events.
  • Coordinates door prize sponsors and gathers emcee scripts.

Inventory Committee

  • Maintains and organizes donated inventory at the storage facility.
  • Tracks all incoming and outgoing items on a shared spreadsheet.
  • Ensures all donations meet quality standards.
  • Distributes supplies to chapters and assists with end-of-season storage consolidation.

Delivery Coordination Committee

  • Schedules and oversees deliveries to shelters not directly sponsored by chapters.
  • Ensures all deliveries are completed safely and on time prior to the Celebration & Gratitude event.

Chapter Purse Project Coordinators Committee

  • Acts as the liaison between Beth and individual chapter coordinators.
  • Provides updates, guidance, and accountability for each chapter’s purse-stuffing and delivery process.

Event Volunteers Committee

  • Recruits and organizes volunteers for the three main events.
  • Directs on-site volunteers and ensures assignments run smoothly using provided instructions.

Thank-You & Gifts Committee

  • Coordinates donor and sponsor appreciation gifts for the Celebration & Gratitude event.
  • Sends thank-you cards and emails to Amazon Wish List contributors.

Garage Sale Committee

  • Coordinates volunteers for set-up, event operations, and clean-up.
  • Publishes acceptable items list and helps promote the sale.

What does SHE stand for?

SHE is more than a leads group - SHE Leads Group exists to support women in business development roles. SHE Members are women in business who appreciate the role many women have being a full-time caregiver to loved ones and advancing their full-time career or business. The letters “S H E” stand for Supporting Heart & Enterprise ®. Heart is our families, or anything near and dear and personal to us. Enterprise is our business or career. Members are expected to uphold the values and culture for which SHE stands. Every member of SHE Leads Group should desire to be a resource to each other. SHE Leads Group is more than just a leads group. We are a group of supportive women who truly want to help others in any way possible.
