Liability Waiver for Volunteer Work
Purpose: To ensure members know they do volunteer work for SHE Leads Group at their own risk.
Scope: To be applied to all members.
Responsible Persons: Founder to enforce and Members to comply.
Policy: Members agree to the following liability waiver.
In return for being allowed to participate in She Leads Group volunteer activities and all related activities, including any activities incidental to such participation (“Volunteer Activities”), Member releases and agrees not to sue She Leads Group or its officers, directors, employees, sub-contractors, sponsors, agents and affiliates (“the Foundation”) from all present and future claims that may be made by me, my family, estate, heirs, or assigns for property damage, personal injury, or wrongful death arising as a result of my participation in the Volunteer Activities wherever, whenever, or however the same may occur.
Member understands and agrees that She Leads Group is not responsible for any injury or property damage arising out of the Volunteer Activities, even if caused by their ordinary negligence or otherwise.
Member understands that participation in Volunteer Activities involves certain risks, including, but not limited to, serious injury and death. Member is voluntarily participating in the Volunteer Activities with knowledge of the danger involved and Member agrees to accept all risks of participation.
Member also agrees to indemnify and hold harmless She Leads Group for all claims arising out of my participation in the Volunteer Activities.
Member understands that this agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the state in which the Volunteer Activities take place and agree that if any portion of this Agreement is invalid, the remainder will continue in full legal force and effect.
Member also acknowledges that She Leads Group has not arranged and does not carry any insurance of any kind for Member benefit, my parents, guardians, trustees, heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns.
Member represents that, to their knowledge, they are in good health and suffer no physical impairment that would or should prevent their participation in Volunteer Activities.
Member also understands that this agreement is a contract that grants certain rights to and eliminates the liability of She Leads Group.
What does SHE stand for?
SHE is more than a leads group - SHE Leads Group exists to support women in business development roles. SHE Members are women in business who appreciate the role many women have being a full-time caregiver to loved ones and advancing their full-time career or business. The letters “S H E” stand for Supporting Heart & Enterprise ®. Heart is our families, or anything near and dear and personal to us. Enterprise is our business or career. Members are expected to uphold the values and culture for which SHE stands. Every member of SHE Leads Group should desire to be a resource to each other. SHE Leads Group is more than just a leads group. We are a group of supportive women who truly want to help others in any way possible.
