Who makes a great leads passer?
Have you ever heard someone say, "Leads groups are not for me. I would not be good at passing leads."? Well those people could actually make some of the best leads group members. Yes, you heard me correctly. Not all of them, but some of them.
Let me explain. There are a few reasons why I say this:
1. The fact that they are so concerned about their inability to pass leads, says something about their integrity and work ethic. What they don't realize, is they are going to be better at passing leads than they think, because they will likely be trying harder than the members who are in a leads group to receive leads before they ever worry about passing a lead. 23 years ago when I started in my first leads group, I thought the same thing - that I would be a terrible lead passer. I tried so hard to be a good leads passer. I didn't lose sleep over passing leads, but I definitely tried to figure out how to connect people. My mindset made me a great member of the leads group.
2. Many of these individuals will try to promote their fellow members in other ways. They will be the first to share, comment, and like your business' social media posts. They may offer to promote their fellow members in their email newsletters, they might offer to put their fellow member's marketing materials out at their place of business. When they are out networking, they will be looking for people to whom they can promote your business. They will be promoters of your business without you even knowing about it. They tend to be great listeners, because they are on the lookout to make a connection.
3. Most people have a sphere of influence of 250 people - that is 250 people with whom their opinion or word carries weight. These can be personal and professional contacts. They can be friends, family, social media friends, vendors, employees, fellow co-workers, other business colleagues and a variety of other individuals. Someone whose sphere is 250 people is capable of passing a lead, even if they don't think they will. They just need the training and reassurance they can do it.
At SHE Leads Group, we have specific training for members who want to give beyond the lead. Members who go through this training make great givers and wonderful at promoting other members' businesses. SHE Leads Group includes all kinds of business development training as part of membership. Members have access to an entire library of training and they receive training at every leads group meeting. Come experience the SHE Leads Group difference. We don't use those triplicate lead tracking forms either and we don't have quotas for our members. We just want quality people who have a heart to be givers, not takers.
